Living in New York, whether in the city or the suburbs, people face slip and fall hazards everyday. Sidewalks, stores, escalators, elevators, stairs, walkways, subways, and buildings all present many different types of dangers. Throughout New York City, cracks, large construction defects and holes exist without proper warning signs, and these may cause pedestrian accidents.
Garbage and debris as well as wet floors also present the risk of serious injury. While it is true that we all have a responsibility to be careful where we are walking, it is true that individuals and businesses that own property are in the best situation to make walkways, hallways, passageways, aisles, stairs, and other areas of ingress and eggress safe for all.
We understand how the negligence of others cause and/or contribute to the falls of people who are injured, and we go to court everyday to prove those causes.
