The recovery, considered the second largest settlement ever in the State of New York for this type of injury, was settled in only 18 months as a result of the firm’s aggressive litigation of the case. Most important, the outcome ensures that the child–who underwent multiple surgeries and had to have his leg amputated–will be taken care of for the rest of his life.
Additionally, the firm garnered a multimillion-dollar settlement in a product liability case involving a major auto manufacturer and our client, another child who had been rendered a tetraplegic in an accident that our investigative team was able to trace back to a design defect in the vehicle he was riding in. Several leading product liability attorneys in New York and New Jersey had already passed on the case when we took it on. Although it ended up being a huge battle, our firm prevailed and won a huge settlement, the amount of which will provide this child with a comfortable life he would not have otherwise have been able to afford.
