"They did a lot of wonderful things for us that we never expected a law firm to do."
"My wife was walking across Woodhaven Blvd. in Queens when she was struck and badly injured by a hit-and-run driver. After I got her the medical care she needed, I knew I had to speak with a lawyer. A friend gave me Andrew Levine's business card and recommended I call him. 'He's the best,' my friend said.
After I spoke with Andrew, he immediately sent an investigator to interview my wife at our home because she couldn't walk. The investigator took her statement, and then went and got the police report. His efficiency was indicative of every interaction I had with Andrew and his colleagues at the law firm of Raphaelson & Levine.
After my wife had surgery to repair her knee, Andrew called several times to see how she was doing. If I had a question or concern, I could pick up the phone and call him at 11:00 p.m. at night, which I often did, and he would always take the call. And, when he was busy and said he would call back, he always did within 5 minutes.
The case was settled a week before we went to trial. My wife and I were very satisfied with the outcome.
I think of Andrew and the people at Raphaelson & Levine as members of my family. I know this has nothing to do with my case, but I wanted to say it anyway. I do a lot of charity work for a private school. Raphaelson & Levine not only won my case, but after it was over they offered to sponsor a teacher who we're now able to hire thanks to the firm. They also bought extra desks and chairs and paid to put in a telephone line. They did a lot of wonderful things for us that we never expected a law firm to do."

Wife struck by hit-and-run driver.
"Mr. Levine and others at the firm were like family to me."
"I had just left my office at the mental health hospital where I worked on Wards Island. It was nighttime and I was headed for the bus stop, which had been moved farther from my building and closer to a baseball field. There were no lights, it was very dark, and the pavement leading to the bus stop was uneven. I fell in a crack and severely injured my ankle. I filed a lawsuit against the pavement construction company about 10 days after the accident, and three months later I was laid off from my job. I continued collecting my salary for a brief period, but when that ended I survived for several months with no money coming in. I lived on Welfare and cleaned city streets for the sanitation department. I finally got my first check from Workers' Compensation, which wasn't very much money.
I was referred to Raphaelson & Levine by my Workers' Compensation attorney. From my very first conversation with them, they were very respectful and concerned about me. I never had to wait long when I called or when I went to their office to speak with Andrew Levine, my lawyer. Everyone was very professional. Whenever I felt depressed or angry, I would call Gina, who worked with Mr. Levine on my case. She was like a therapist. She should be a social worker. She and Mr. Levine and others at the firm were like family to me. I could tell them things I didn't want to tell my family for fear they would worry about me.
I couldn't believe how much money I got in the settlement. I said, 'Thank you Jesus.' What I had to struggle with was terrible. I don't know what I would have done without the help of my friends at Raphaelson & Levine. God bless them!"

Fell on broken walkway and tore ligaments in her ankle.
"They understand my situation and I feel like they really care about me, as a person."
"At first I didn't think what seemed like a simple fall could cause so much damage. But, it ended up taking my doctor and other specialists almost 6 months to figure out how best to treat my badly broken wrist, which ended up needing a vascular bone graft to repair it.
I hadn't really thought about it after the accident, but some family and friends suggested I call a lawyer. One of them recommended Raphaelson & Levine. So I called them. From the moment Mr. Raphaelson took me on as a client I felt comfortable and confident that the outcome of my case would be positive. He, and his assistant, Gina, keep me in the loop about everything that's going on with my case. They understand my situation and I feel like they really care about me, as a person. Since they knew I was having trouble getting around with my bad knee, they sent an investigator to my house for the initial interview so I wouldn't have to travel to their office in Manhattan from my apartment in Queens.
Everyone at the firm is very cool and very kind when it comes to how they treat me. But when it comes to my case and dealing with the building owner and the cleaning company I am suing, Mr. Raphaelson is very aggressive. He made sure when I was being questioned during the deposition that the other side operated within the guidelines. He defended me. I felt safe sitting there next to him as the defendants' lawyers questioned me. I am very happy with everything they have done so far. They are excellent."

"Our first concern was getting my daughter the medical attention she needed."
"My wife, daughter and father-in-law were mowed down by a man who lost control of his car. I had never been in a situation like this so I was praying I would be able to find a good law firm. We found the perfect firm, Raphaelson & Levine. They were very aggressive and did whatever it took to win our case. They went the extra 10 miles. They were always there, every step of the way. We never had to wonder what was going on with our case. I could call them whenever I was worried and had a question. Someone at the firm would always be there to help us.
We settled for a significant amount of money. But, the settlement wasn't the most important thing for me and my family. Our first concern was getting my daughter the medical attention she needed. Raphaelson & Levine helped us in every way. She's back to a normal life today thanks to our law firm."

"Raphaelson & Levine gave me back my life."
"Raphaelson & Levine gave me back my life. As a result of my accident, I ended up having back surgery. My biggest concern was whether or not I would be able to go back to work. Andrew Levine not only handled all of my legal concerns, he looked after me like a friend. He put me in touch with experts who got me back on my feet and back to work. Everyone he introduced me to assured me I would get my life back. And, I did. The paralegals were always there for me. It made me feel so much better. And, so confident.
After the surgery I got a staph infection because the hospital was careless. My case ended up being bigger than it would have been. Andrew Levine was smart and tough. He put all of the pieces together and made a whole case out of it. I was totally shocked when I heard the size of my settlement. I almost fell out of my chair."

Rear-ended by a reckless truck driver.
"I was able to pay off my bills with the money I got from the settlement."
"Raphaelson & Levine did a tremendous job for me. They were very aggressive with my case and my settlement was substantial, which for me was critical since I can't work now because of my injuries. I was able to pay off my bills with the money I got from the settlement. If it wasn't for Raphaelson & Levine working so hard, I doubt the settlement would ever have been so big. The money helped put my mind at ease. I could sleep at night again."
