Raphaelson and Levine Law Firm is saddened by the tragic events of the March 19th bus accident that overturned on the Virginia highway.
Raphaelson and Levine Law Firm, a leader in the New York Personal Injury community, is presently representing multiple individuals that were involved in this accident that killed four people and injured more than fifty others.
The firm’s partners, Howard Raphaelson and Andrew Levine and the entire legal team of Raphaelson and Levine Law Firm extend our sincerest condolences to the families of all involved in this tragic accident.
Mr. Raphaelson, Mr. Levine and Steven Gershowitz, our senior trial attorney, also known as “Mr. Gao” in the Chinese community, (GaoLawyers.com) are the lead attorneys for the firm on the case.
The firm will dedicate every resource available in the Personal Injury industry to pursue this matter and ensure that all involved receive the highest compensation allowed under the law.
The bus driver, Yui Man Chow, 40, of Staten Island, N.Y., was charged Tuesday with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. He was released from jail on bond Tuesday night but is not allowed to leave Virginia.
The driver of the vehicle is currently charged with reckless conduct, and the bus company has a poor safety record. The bus had left Virginia and was headed to China Town in NYC with 59 people abroad. While the investigation is continuing, the driver, who is charged with the reckless conduct swerved and caused the bus to flip over.
Sky Express bus is just the latest in a long list of bus crashes to and from New York. Common carriers owe the highest duty to their passengers. People who travel by bus rely on the experience and expectation that the drivers of said buses will provide safe and excellent driving skills. The repeated crashes and senseless deaths are consistent with a pattern of profits over safety.
As in all vehicular crashes, the critical factors of distance, police, and the cause of the accident will be carefully evaluated along with speed and time. Reconstruction investigators and the lawyers at Raphaelson and Levine who are representing these clients will fight for justice.
Once again the firm expresses our warmest and most sincere condolences to everyone that has been dramatically affected by this tragic accident.
