Potentially Deadly Aviation Accident at La Guardia Was Avoidable

On behalf of  Howard Raphaelson of Raphaelson & Levine Law Firm posted Airplane Accidents on Thursday, March 5, 2015.

New York's brutal winter is not an excuse for Delta Airlines or the entities that own and operate LaGuardia airport. Today, a Delta Airlines Flight landed and skidded off a runway at LaGuardia that was covered in snow. Although no one was killed, this plane accident was extremely violent and caused injuries to several passengers.

New Yorkers clean their driveways, sidewalks, and entrances to their homes and businesses. We do this because it is our obligation to each other and ourselves. There is no excuse for this plane landing in an area that was not completely cleaned. If that was not possible due to the weather conditions, then the flight should have been postponed, canceled, or routed to another area where it was safe to land.
