Michael Abel

Michael Abel is an attorney at Raphaelson & Levine Law Firm, P.C., where he advocates for individuals and families whose lives have been disrupted by serious accidents throughout New York City and the Greater New York area.

A native New Yorker, Michael began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Richmond County, where he gained invaluable courtroom experience handling a demanding criminal caseload, conducting hearings, evaluating evidence, questioning witnesses, and appearing before judges throughout New York City.

That courtroom foundation now shapes Michael’s approach to personal injury litigation. He understands that strong cases are built through preparation, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate the opposition. He approaches every matter with a trial lawyer’s mindset, carefully developing the evidence, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of a case, and preparing from the outset to hold the responsible parties and their insurance companies accountable.

Michael represents clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and slip-and-fall cases. When an insurance company refuses to fairly recognize the impact an injury has had on a client’s life, Michael is prepared to move the case forward through litigation and toward trial.

Michael is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University.
