$450K Car Accident Settlement

Our client was driving through Dutchess County when the defendant’s vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and hit her car head-on. She was taken to the emergency room from the scene of the accident. Shortly thereafter she started attending physical therapy. Physical therapy did not help her injuries improve and she underwent arthroscopic surgery on each knee. She received the full policy limits of $100,000 from the defendant. We were then able to recover an additional $350,000 form the supplementary underinsured motorist coverage for a total recovery of $450,000.
