The Raphaelson and Levine Law Firm has been representing New York City pedestrians for the past 20 years. Over that time period we have unfortunately seen many pedestrians struck by speeding cars on the streets of New York City. Many of these accidents could have been avoided and lives saved if cars were traveling at safer speeds.
Now for the first time in 50 years the city is taking the initiative to save lives by reducing the speed limit in NYC from 30 mph to 25 mph under a program called “Vision Zero.”
The Vision Zero program will roll out later this year and will implement various traffic regulation changes that will aim to reduce pedestrian fatalities.
Raphaelson and Levine is embracing this new program. For too long we have seen tragic accidents that have resulted in fatalities caused by speeding cars. Hopefully this new program will cut down the amount of traffic fatalities that occur in this great city every year.
